Good morning and excuse me
The honorable bapak ketua yayasan ikip pgri
bojonegoro. Rector IKIP PGRI bojonegoro and
his staff .
And my respectful to ibu dekan, ibu Kaprodi, and all
of lecturer, judge , all teacher, chairman of UEC and all staff , chairman of
the committee and staff , competitors , and beloveed students.
In the previous
occasion, I ve metion that purposely, i call bapak or ibu, not
a sir or miss and the others.
Because even though we are using a foreign language
, our guidance is still based on the sentence pronounced culture of our beloved
country .
First we have to thanks for allah swt blessing, by
the blessings and gifts we can meet in this good occasion.
And do not forget to keep our solawat those are
extended to the great prophet Muhamad saw. so that, we 'll get a last help from
him at the end of the day.
As I said at the
previous meeting, on the selection step.. I would like to express
many thanks to bapak ketua yayasan, the
rector and his staff, especially bapak pembantu rektor 3 ikip pgri bojonegoro.
Thanks for the permission and maximum support of this, so, united english
college can hold this speech contest
followed by students. And of course our success will be our successness of our
future together, with the cooperation of UEC team and hopefully there is no
obstacle untill the final process .
And also I would like to thank to ibu dekan, ibu Kaprodi
, all of lecturer who has provided input, suport , and encouragement to us, so
that we can find a solutions related to an existing problem, and find a way
that makes us have a one way in a process.
And I congratulate for the second time to the chairman
of UEC and its staff, the chairman of the committee and its staff for the struggle
to make this moment. In preparation section when we have some constraints, and
is able to be passed, it's time for you to met some of the obstacles that must
be cleared spontaneous, quickly and precisely.
And I am proud
of you, at the moment of the selection step you are able to minimize the
problem. Where I know what you’ve a lot of problem with, and doing some act in
a quiet settlement.
Ladies and Gentlemen .
Here is a picture of that our journey is full of
struggle. Therefore, let this event have a full succesnes, and the maximum
cooperation of this event can be a great success to.

I have told this
in the previous speech, In the selection steps speech. the
korelation of language and culture is like a twins, they are closely once like
two sides of a coin, one side as the linguistic system and the other as a
cultural system.
In a day life, the people who used to speak
politely, then people will immediately judge that person 's good character. The
person intellect and speaking on a regular basis, then the person is assessed
as being educated, and knowledgeable. That's how people judge others by the way
he speaks.
Ladies and gentlemen.
Many experts and researchers agree that language and
culture are two things that can not be separated. Suryadi, in his paper “hubungan
antara bahasa dan budaya”, which is presented in the national seminar on "
etnik budaya " at the University of North Sumatra on April 25 2009. He
said that language is a cultural product language user. Previously, linguistic
experts also agreed between language and culture has a close study. The study,
which is very famous in this regard is the “Sapir – Whorf” theory. Both experts
stated , " This line of thought and culture of a society is determined or
influenced by the structure of the language "
Ladies and Gentlemen.
Although at this time we are using foreign
languages, please remains the basic of our ideology, keep stay in the
corridor of our culture.
